Situated in the middle of 78 hectre Danson Park in Bexleyheath, Danson House is a grade I listed Georgian mansion. The palladian villa was designed by Bank of England architect Sir Robert Taylor and built for the vice chairman of the British East India Company Sir John Boyd in 1766. The house was acquired by English Heritage in 1995. After lengthy work was carried out on the building due to its dilapidated state, it was re opened by the Queen in 2005.
